Wayfare SRL (Wayfare or “We”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our candidates. This policy aims to present the general guidelines, procedures, and specific information regarding the Wayfare recruitment process. We kindly ask you to carefully read all the following information, as it provides a precise overview of the purpose of the recruitment process run by Wayfare.

General Types of Data Processed by Wayfare

For recruiting-related purposes, we usually collect personal data directly from you when you apply for a role with us, such as your name, address, contact information, work and educational history, achievements, and test results. We also may collect personal data about you from third parties, such as your references, prior employers, and Wayfare employees with whom you have interviewed.

How we use your information

We collect and use your personal data for legitimate human resources reasons including:

* identifying and evaluating candidates for potential employment, as well as for future roles that may become available;
* recordkeeping in relation to recruiting and hiring.

We may also analyze your personal data to improve our recruitment and hiring process and augment our ability to attract successful candidates. We may desire to retain your personal data to consider you for future employment opportunities. In such an event, we will seek your consent, either prior to or after you formally apply for a job opportunity.

Candidate rights 

We guarantee our candidates the following rights: :

* The right to access, correct and, if necessary, delete upon request, the personal information of that specific person from the Wayfare database;

* The right to the portability of data – one may obtain, upon request, a copy of all the personal information Wayfare stores about the inquirer in its database, in a readily available and easy-to-read format; 

* The right to be forgotten – upon your request, we will delete all your personal data from our database. This implies that we will not be able to contact this candidate further with job opportunities. 

You may benefit from all the above-mentioned rights through a written request to the following email address: dpo@wayfare.ro.

Disclosure of your information

Wayfare shall never disclose any personal information outside to any third parties, except the cases when the information is necessary for the recruitment processes, with the consent of all the candidates involved.

References

For the purpose of obtaining references, Wayfare, with the consent of the candidate involved, will contact (through email or phone) a former superior or even a former colleague and request information about the candidate. The inquiries may be regarding the person’s previous activities, the timespan of the employment, or the reason for ceasing that specific collaboration.  

The data gathered through references is confidential, and any access to it is provided only to the recruiter or hiring manager who interviewed the candidate. The information may also be forwarded to other parties involved in the recruitment process inside the company. The references will be kept only for as long as necessary for the recruitment process for which they have been collected, and for no more than 90 days. 

Where we store your personal data

All personal information provided by candidates to us is permanently stored on our safe and secure servers for a period of 10 years and we will do our best to protect it. We follow strict procedures to ensure we work with all personal data in line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Access to the database is restricted solely to the Wayfare recruiters and hiring managers. Furthermore, Wayfare will never disclose or share personal information with any third parties, except when the data is necessary for the recruitment processes, with all the candidates’ consent.
